„One should simply think about what one is eating and how it came on the table. How is it possible that a whole chicken costs less than three euros in trade, a yogurt 19 cent, a bread role 10 cent – how is it possible to produce food for these amounts? No wonder that low quality minced meat is used for the one euro hamburger, chemically treated with ammonium hydroxide, or what scandals exist over and over again apart from that. Sustainability means to take care about seasonal products, to consider whether the farmer next door or the coffee farmer in South America can earn themselves a living and to question, how our environment should look like in some years.”
Sabine, Germany
“Nowadays there are more and more people who are conscious about the two topics. Sustainability concerns a lot of people. More and more people are recycling, reusing and trying not to use up energy. Governments and enterprises are conscious about this. The little sand grains people can add to this issue are very important. USA and China should make an urgent move towards a solution.”
Maria Lloreta, Spain
“Waste should be more recycled and everyone should reuse everything as much as possible. Thus, we would avoid the destruction of woods and the contamination of water, and use natural resources. We should be more conscious about the sustainability of the Earth.”
Tarsici Fitó, Spain
