Apple-Carrots-Salad (for 4 persons)
Ingredients
- 300g
apples
- 400 g carrots - 1/2 piece of lemon - 50 ml orange-juice - Spices: salt, sugar |
Directions
Clean and peel the carrots. Peel the apples and remove the core. Marinate the apples with some lemon juice to avoid a discoloration. Grate the carrots and marinate them with orange juice. Add the spices and wait for a while. Then
grate the apples and add them to the carrots. Add some lemon juice and spice
again, if necessary.

goes back to ancient Greece and Rome. The red-purple carrot came to Spain and
then to Italy in the 12th century. It was also cultivated in Germany
and France until the 19th century. But since the 16th
century, the so-called Yellow carrot gained more and more importance. Nowadays it has
been replaced by the orange carrot.
