Red Berry Compote

Ingredients
1.25 kg red berries (strawberries, currants, blackberries, also frozen
berries can be used)
20g custard powder 500ml juice (berries or cherry) 100g sugar |
Directions
Use 3 tbs of the juice for the
custard powder but wait with mixing them. Put the rest of the juice in a pot
and add sugar and cleaned berries. Wait for app. 2 hours. Then boil the mixture
and add the mixed juice and custard powder. Stir the mixture. Remove the pot
from the stove. You can either eat it warm or let it cool in the fridge in
little bowls. You can also add vanilla ice cream.

Red berries contain of many vitamins. But this recipe is a dessert. Therefore there is too much sugar included to say that it is totally healthy. But well, sometimes you can simply enjoy food without thinking of possible impacts.
